The Hen Impact

Owner of Tipsy Chicken Ranch, I am proud to have the opportunity to be a huge part of my own small town neighborhood community, my neighbors & friends are always needing eggs for cooking & baking! Sometimes my neighbors just want to visit my hens giving my hen's their table scraps besides meat unless its seafood. Every time my family has a party at the house, my flock always are included as the best live entertainment for my little cousins & my nephews, as I show them around the ranch I also show how responsibilities taking care of my Feathered Family tend to  change each season &  year. I have made  little improvements here & there, as well as critical improvements such as having a wooden cattle grade fenced Chicken Run rather than garden stakes with garden wire wrapped around my building for years. The reason for the improvement is certainly not just  for atheistically pleasing purposes . My chickens would find ways  to dig holes in the dirt on their property line escaping safety slowly but surely loosing their way back to their Coop, My yard has many areas to find shade & explore however when my chickens were venturing further into the dairy farm field it got a bit scary for me. So digging dirt refilling their holes made to duck under the wire fence got tedious, so me & my dad finally decided we need a real Ranch Fence line. The Chickens haven't managed to outsmart this new fence yet...... that being said, with my new fence its taller with extreme durability & high quality wood & Stainless Steel Hardware & Cattle grade Wire replacing garden wire was a smart but costly improvement, the peace of mind day after day is what makes the price we paid worth it. The Sweat & hours me & my dad put into our new fence line were days well spent bonding over a common goal.  I aim each time one of my family members visit my ranch that I bestow upon each member Poultry knowledge as well as just a memorable fun opportunity to help me feed my flock. If asked a dozen of my hens eggs for the trip home :)

I work for myself & my hens every day including weekends. I supply my neighbors & family with the freshest quality egg brought into our little slice of heaven each week, I promote the idea that having a backyard flock always does support more than just your family. The Hen impacts in a greater sense the community you live in. Chickens are much more than a bird at Tipsy Chicken Ranch, they are the producers of one of the best versatile ingredient known to the world the egg. They are also a huge part of my family legacy, that I will pass down to my children someday.
